Special Delivery!

The finished product!  Iced and ready to go to the Sheppards'!  They turned out so pretty and so delicious!
Chocolate Pie made with my special fancy cocoa.  It turned out so rich and smooth that no one would beable to refuse a slice. Kadin and I licked the bowl and spoon clean,(just to make sure it was edible!)
Lemon Meringue Pie of course. Everyone seems to love a good lemon pie. Sweet but with a hint of tartness just to make it perfect. And 2 inches of meringue!  Ohhh, yummy!
My yeast for cinnamon rolls.  It was growing as I was taking the picture and couldn't get it into the mixer quick enough.  It was so excited about becoming luscious rolls I guess. LoL
Side shot!  Bakers dozen of cinnamon rolls for my special customer!  The dough had to be punched down 3 times because it was escaping the bowl before I could get it to the kitchen to roll out. I knew that if the yeast was that active that the rolls would be extra large.
Top view of the rolls!  With the special cinnamon that I use, these rolls are going to be to die for and I truely hope that the Sheppards' love them and eat every last crumb like we normally do!
2 extra that Dan and I got to devour! This is a 10in pan if that tells you anything about how BIG they were!

Sweet Treat for Christmas Week

Well folks, here are some new photos taken the week of Christmas 2010 of my famous award winning cinnamon rolls and the preperation for them.  They turned out so good. Light and fluffy and ohhh so sweet with the wonderful penuche icing and savory from the special cinnamon that I use.  They just can't be beat.  I wish I could share one with all of you, but my husband does not let them out of the house very easily or very cheap!  =)  So you will have to settle for the pictures unless you would like to order a batch.

Cookie Time

Oh the aroma of Christmas spices filling the house.  You just can't beat it.  The boys and I made gingerbread cookies today and man what fun they had decorating them any way they wanted.  They are such good helpers, especially whey  they know they get to eat what they have created!  We had a lot of fun making all these cookies.  We ended up with 40 cookies out of the receipe.  Wow!  They each gave out after decorating about 6 a piece.  They are great little artists thats for sure, but the most fun part of it all is of course the sampling of the goodies, right?!  Well, James and Kadin just couldn't take it any longer. Kadin was sucking the icing out of the bag on his 3rd or 4th one and finished up his 6th with icing all the way up to his elbow and chomping the head of his gingerbread man.  James kept a little neater but got to where he was dumping as much icing as he could on one cookie knowing it was going to be the one he ate!  Lol  I couldn't help but giggle at them.  The wonderful smell was getting to me as well, so I got a little sloppy with one of mine also just to say that I had to eat it.  :)  My icing made with powdered sugar and orange juice and vanilla turned out very well.  Not overpowering or too sweet.  Needless to say, that out of 40 cookies, I think we have about 30 left and daddy hasn't had time to get into them yet.  I really enjoyed the time that the boys and I have had in the kitchen so far and I have many more ideas for them to help me with in the upcoming days before New Years.
